چکیده
Due to its considerable impact on climate, bus air conditioning systems are being pushed take a new and sustainable path. Electric buses relying transcritical CO2 units perceived be eco-friendly future-proof solutions achieving such target. However, in order have highly efficient systems, the charge needs optimized. In this paper energy exergy-based analyses were performed investigate effect of normalized refrigerant system performance by using test rig unit for an 8 m electric bus. Results showed that range 0.248~0.336 was recommended ensure maximum coefficient (COP). addition, sufficient conditions, optimal COP, cooling capacity exergy efficiency 1.716, 18.97 kW 29.79%, respectively, under standard refrigeration condition 35 °C/27 °C. As ambient temperature rose from °C 40 °C, decreased 16.03%, 10.90% 12.22%, respectively. Furthermore, found not sensitive slightly insufficient charge, whereas overcharge observed even beneficial ensuring COP. charging seriously affected irreversible losses indoor outdoor heat exchangers, slight had little component efficiency. Finally, need improve compressor enhance revealed.

Besides compressor rotary speed and parameters of water flowing through gas cooler and evaporator, refrigerant charge amount and electronic expansion valve (EEV) opening are two important parameters that have significant effects on the performance of a transcritical CO2 heat pump system. In this study, the effects of refrigerant charge amount on the performance of a transcritical CO2 heat pump ...
متن کاملA Transcritical Refrigeration Cycle with Carbon Dioxide for Bus Air Conditioning and Transport Refrigeration
The frrst part of this paper presents carbon dioxide air conditioning units which were installed in two city buses. The two buses were tested "on-the-road" during summer 1997 in Bad Hersfeld, Germany. By the end of 1997, the air condition systems of the two buses had been running together for more than 860 hours proving that C02 systems fulfill important on-the-road requirements. In the second ...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation on the Influence of Refrigerant Charge on the Performance of Trans-critical CO2 Water-Water Heat Pump
For the environmentally aware, natural refrigerant such as CO2 is recommended and pursued by researchers for refrigerators. In this paper, a transcritical CO2 heat pump system was set up to investigate the influence of refrigerant charge on the performance of a small-sized heat pump water heater. The transcritical CO2 heat pump system was composed of a rotary compressor, a tube-in-tube evaporat...
متن کاملSustainability of Automobile Air- Conditioning System Using Refrigerant R1234yf Instead of R134a
Air conditioning refrigerant R134a has value of global warming potential (GWP) 1300, which is much higher than MAC Directive (GWP below 150) passed in July 2006. This prompted a search for alternative refrigerant with GWP value less than 150. R1234yf is a new refrigerant which has lower GWP value of 4. Effect of blower speed has been compared and flammability issue of R1234yf has been addre...
متن کاملExperimental investigation on the influencing factors of a transcritical CO2 heat pump
As one of the earliest natural refrigerants, CO2 has a lot of unique advantages, such as zero ODP, negligible GWP, excellent heat transfer coefficient, high volumetric capacity, non-toxicity, non-flammability, and cost effectiveness. Since it was proposed to applying in the mobile air-conditioning, the transcritical CO2 cycle has been attracting great attentions to replace CFC and HCFC refriger...
